Aurora
Aurora Aksnes was born on 15 June 1996 in Stavanger Norway. Professionally known as Aurora and often stylized with lowercase letters, such as AURORA. Her debut E.P. Running with the Wolves was released by Decca Records Decca Records in May 2015 getting great reviews by music journalists and press. She's recorded a variety of well-known songs as covers, like Half the World Away (by Oasis), from the group Oasis) for John Lewis' Christmas advert and Nature Boy (by Nat King Cole) and have been widely praised. Her name was also recognized through a tweet from Katy Perry where Perry endorsed the song Runaway. Celebrate the special occasion. Aurora Aksnes' earliest memory of music is finding a grand piano in the attic. She was fascinated by the possibilities it offered. Jan Oystein Aksnes, her parents, May Britt Aksnes and Jan Oystein Aksnes, encouraged their daughter to pursue music for a love rather than a profession. So she started writing her own songs. She acknowledges Bob Dylan and Leonard Cohen, along with Bjork as her main influences. Responding to her mother's suggestion that people should not be aiming to become famous with her songwriting, but instead recognize the significance of their lives and the impact they have on society. She started playing piano at age six and writing music at age nine. She didn't tell her family about it until she turned 14. Aurora was not a goal. The only thing she loves is to compose music. She believes that music can help any person feel better.
